 The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform, invites Unemployed Agricultural Graduates with a three year diploma or degree in Agriculture who need practical hands on experience to improve their chances of employment to apply for the Agricultural Graduates Programme oppportunities that currently exist with the Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga DRDLR District offices.

Requirements

*Degree / Diploma in Agriculture or related field 
* Project and People Management skills 
* Research methodology 
*Willingness to travel and work extended hours 
*Computer literacy skills 
* Communication skills 
*Facilitation skills 
* Report writing skills 
*Presentation skills 
*Liaison skills 
*Interpersonal skills

Duties

*Analyse project / farm status 
*Develop project plans for 12 months 
*Work and liaise between DRDLR, Project Owners and other stakeholders 
*Provide Technical advice to projects 
*Conduct Research
*Produce progres reports

Additional Information

Preference will be given to applicants who reside within the Local Municipalities and/or Districts where the positions are advertised. Applicants who meet the requirements are not currently employed in the related field or have not benefitted in the programme in the past. Applicants who are currently not studying full time.

•   Diploma / Degree in Agricultural Economics,
•   Diploma / Degree in Agricultural Engineering,
•   Degree / Diploma in Agronomy,
•    Degree / Diploma in Crop Production,
•   Diploma / Degree in Soil Science or Agricultural Management,
•   National Diploma / Degree in Forestry or plant production,

Candidates with experience will have an added advantage. Project and People Management skills. Research methodology. A valid driver’s licence. Willingness to travel and work extended hours. Computer literate skills. Communication skills. Facilitation skills. Report writing skills. Presentation skills. Liaison skills. Interpersonal relations skills. Valid code 08 driver’s license

Duties

Learn from project experience. Analyse project / farm status. Develop project plans for 12 months. Work and liaise between DRDLD, project owner and other stakeholders. Research information. Report progress and feedback.

Additional Information

Applicants should reside within the Local Municipalities and /Districts where the posts are advertised. Applicants in close to the project site shall have added advantage. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates and successful candidates only.
